Just twrow your bomb, then wait a bit, and if your timing is good, and you kick your bomb when enemy is above you, it will cause effect on it. <The goal: kick your bomb before explode, and when it's in air, an enemy should be above it, then it will fall or get freezed>

It's very useful on a lot maps, for example:
Beginners-> the carrotian council's 3rd map. You can bring down one of the oranges with blue bomb, so you can easily make the correct order of killing enemies, for big crystal

See what you can also do - when you kick a bomb run in the same direction and kick it again. This way it will be higher and will reduce the chance of bad timing to almost nothing. And when you are able to place more than one bomb you can do THIS.

I have been doing this for a while now, level 44 wouldn't be easy without it. Man I hate that level... Level 53 is also a good level to do this on. And congratulations on getting the book of stars!

level 44 is easy just kill the lemon on the left in the corner, that will kill 2-3 others, than go to the right sida, fall in then kill the others easily

Or go down to the place where the effect item appears and kill the lemons through the teleporter

Well this is pretty much it. You just need some practice and timing. In case you wonder how is it working - when you kick a bomb in the air you cannot kick another bomb while the first one is near you (that's why you can do it without moving with . You kick the bombs far away with it) so you have to kick a bomb, turn in the other direction (but not only turn, but keep moving in the same direction) and kick again. It is easier to practice it with - trying to get as higher as possible. It is easier to do it with too, because you move away from the first bomb faster.
