Ok, after a bit of calculations, and taking into account the fact that some levels a) don't give effect/point items, b) give no effect item but give a point item, c) only give coeff 0 items, I figured out the route you should take to maximize your levels and item pickup for the purposes of trying to unblock things.

With that said, a couple of things to mention:

1. I didn't count levels that give coeff 0 items as "effect/point item levels" unless they gave another actual item along with the coeff 0 item. (ie. I didn't count the Ankhel Jewel level, since it gives no other items, but I did count the joystick level before it, since it gives both an effect item and a point item.)

2. The only exceptions to the above rule:
a) I DID count the red jewel/gold Igor level in PD 51 as an effect/point item level, even though both of those are coeff 0.

b) I did NOT count levels 101 or 103 as effect point item levels.

(As far as I remember, those are the only exceptions I made.)

With that said, on to the ultimate item-junkie's route!

If you go through these PDs and don't die trying, you'll have gone through (if my calculations are right) an astounding 264 levels, while picking up an incredible 199 effect items and 203 point items! Whew! Congratulate yourself on your amazing skills (and kind of scold yourself for being so addicted to this game that you've developed said amazing skills.)

PS: For those who want to know, no, I haven't accomplished this feat yet. The closest I've come is going through everything except PDs 82 and 86, as well as going in PD 97 to skip level 98.

. Like you're going to get there if you're playing in mirror mode . Or at least you will miss few million pts because you won't get the big crystals .
I remember you get an item in 97.0 too. Am I wrong?
And did you really go in PD 54.12.1D.9G.3.10 that time? I can't imagine you went through all those levels and you didn't go into PD 82 .

I did indeed - the reason I didn't go into 82 was because it's one of the harder PDs (they don't call it Diffiland for nothing) and I only had one life, but I was close to getting CRISTAL. I figured I'd skip it, since at that point I wanted to finish the game to the end.

Oh, and as far as I could remember, you don't get any items in 97.0; just the coeff bancal mirror. So I didn't include it, because you DO get items on level 98.

If someone wants to verify that for me, I have no problems editing the big list to include it. I'm sure people would rather go to 97.0 than 98 anyway.

Well in that case, PD 97 stays out of the list, since 98 gives you an effect item as well. But thanks for clearing that up!

Actually, there is an effect item in there as well. In that video, darkness makes it impossible to see. I just checked it by looking at one of the videos I have of myself playing. It is difficult to get to before it disappears though - it appears on the highest 2 square wide platform.

Oh? Well then, in it goes; it's certainly easier to get both items in 97.0 than it is in 98.

One more thing. When you enter in PD62 then go out at 62.3 then go into PD63.

Or 64, which has two more levels, but no items afair...
