JavaScript - http://www.hfest.net/soccer.html
Inline script thread
Error:
name: ReferenceError
message: Statement on line 4: Undefined variable: urchinTracker
Backtrace:
Line 4 of inline#1 script in http://www.hfest.net/soccer.html
urchinTracker();
stacktrace: n/a; see 'opera:config#UserPrefs|Exceptions Have Stacktrace'

Would that have anything to do with it not loading?
If so, how could I fix it? :?

Or maybe not? Other people may have the same problem. Java script is different than Java. The script is used in web pages, while Java is used for animation (you may think of it as the Flash player you need to play the game). So there may be a problem in the script or maybe your internet connection was bad for a while and couldn't load all of the stuff.

Note before I explain the whole thing, this is on a school computer, not my LapTop at home.
-------------------------------------------
Well, at first I tried to download the newest Flash for IE, and I wasn't sure if it actually worked or not, but I wasn't able to load Hfest.

Then I downloaded Opera, checked Hfest, got the error I posted earlier. So I got FP10, and it worked after that.

But about JavaScript being the problem, it could have been, and I know it wasn't my internet. I've seen JavaScript mess up before (IE, clicking a button on a webpage does nothing... argh).

Further developments may come up, until then, I guess the discussion of JavaScript & Java continues.

Actually JavaScript is used for client-side programming and it can do a lot of things (including AJAX requests) :P

Since it is a school computer there may be various restrictions that prevent you from playing games online, reach specific websites, etc. This is an example where "don't try this at home" doesn't work, because you have to play from home :D.
