Absolutely stupid death due to picking up

I had two lives left on the level right before the N64 controller, so I thought it would be okay if I lost one life. Then I find out you have to beat that level without dying! Great, just great. I actually managed to get CRISTAL six times before entering PD 54, thanks to about five .

Well, I will just try again tomorrow.

when do you think would be a time to start trying to beat Hell?

I started doing hell runs when I had unblocked

I would say there isn't really a good or bad time to do hell, its just whatever you want.

If you can get there with a lot of lives and you want to do it, then go for it.

Personally I haven't gone far in hell because I prefer playing score runs.

It's just personal preference

Hell is only for the more skilled Hammerfest players. Without the required skill, PD 54 is just a good way to end a game.

I would suggest you to do it in this order (that's how I did / was planning to do it at least):

1) Beat the game.
2) Get and unblock .
3) Get and unblock .
4) Get .
5) Unblock or go for the Snow Bomb and unblock while doing so.

Each of these steps goes up a bit in difficulty, so I think this is a good order.
But hey, at least you will have something to do in this game for a really long time

I agree with fabianh, but if you somehow manage to get both Evil Liquors and complete Metallic Water, I say get at least one Pyramid Pass, then full force on the Nintendo 64 controller. That is what I am doing, just to unlock Tornade mode.

In essence, just take Hell cautiously. I can tell you from experience that it is better to take your time than to beat a level quickly without dying.

That is all I have to say and because I managed to lose another six lives on a very special level today, here is my most hated level of Hell: RC_2. That razor box + lemon drops + a pineapple? Awful, just awful.

Well, I managed to beat 54.8 losing only one life today. Unfortunately, I died 3!! times before hell and only managed one CRISTASL the entire game, so I didn't manage to get very much further.

I'm getting much better at it, though.
