I thought that you'd automatically get it when it was your birthday, so the longest time anyone would have to wait is 364 days.

Also, if you press the W key while wearing the birthday hat, Igor blows one of those birthday whistle things and some confetti would surround him temporarily. None of this has any effect in-game, it would just be for cuteness

Do you mean it would be a coeff 0 item, which would only appear in your game on your birthday?

Actually, the longest time anyone would have to wait is 1460 days. (There are people who were born on Feb. 29th. )

Yes, the birthday hat would appear as a Coeff. 0 item at the beginning of the game and would be worth 365 points. You only need 1 to unblock it.

As for people born on a leap year, they should get the hat on the 28th.
