the end of the world

Le Panthéon ! 1
Monday 10 Aug 2009 21:21
I have been attempting for the past few days to figure out the order for giant crystal on Learning #22 (the end of the world). Although the presence of seven fruits makes an intimidating 5040 possible combinations in which to kill them, after repeated trials of the technique of hiding enemy (thank you Kaha), I was able to discern the following information:

(They are labeled according to these images.)

1) The last four to be killed are (in this order): M, L, LU, R.
2) RD is to be killed before RU.

These two bits of information (which can be confirmed through trials of Kaha's technique) yield only three possibilities for order:

a) RD RU LD M L LU R
b) RD LD RU M L LU R
c) LD RD RU M L LU R

Since it is impossible for LD to mix with RD or RU, we cannot select one of these three without actually trying them out. Hence, I tried all three out.

All this said, I regret to announce that there is no giant black crystal (or any, for that matter) at the end of the world. (This was to some extent expected, considering there is no giant crystal on any other level in the first half of Learning Mode.

(I thank the famous Kahakatashi for discovering the technique used here, and I thank my friend ameoba940550 for showing me how to find the end of the world.)

Aw.... you sure you may not have made a mistake? did you try all the possible orders more than once? Just to be sure.

I know, right ? I, too, was considerably disappointed. I of course could have made a human error at any point during the endeavour. I only tried each of the three candidates once, though I was very careful to make sure I did it right (and for "a" and "c" I had an eyewitness). Still, I invite anyone and everyone to try to prove my conclusion wrong.

p.s. For those of you who don't yet know how to reach the end of the world, you can find it on youtube by searching "hammerfest fin del mundo." There are probably a few videos on dailymotion as well.

Can you explain to me the "the technique of hiding enemy" in details? Because from what I know about it - it doesn't work.

Have you seen this page explaining it, on Cadomax ?

Basically, when two fruits cross paths, whichever one goes behind should be killed before the one which goes in front.

Where did you see it not working? Since I read about it and used it, it always worked fine for me :)

I didn't understad it correctly. Since I love math I may do some 'homework' and see how wrong you are ;).

Technique doesn't work because most enemies are separated from each other. Right?

There is no giant crystal in Learning Mode, you say.
Then, how to continue? You get to level 22 in Learning Mode and then, you need to stop there.
That is a secret passage in level 15 and that work as a Parallel Dimension (ok Parallel Dimensions are really different of this secret, I'm just exemplifying) and all Parallel Dimensions have a "reward", like a gamepad or something.
Isn't that strange? That secret ends in a level like the first one in Adventure Mode (precisely) with a big amount of Baddybomb Pears to kill and many lifes to lose if you aren't a pro at that pears.
Is that level to discover Baddybomb Pears without going to level 50? Is that level to think "Ah, I was to a secret to there, I'm the best"?

Nothing more to say, only think that is a bit strange.

Should they have created a whole new game in Learning Mode? It would be nonsense, because then no one would buy games for the "real" game ;)
