It's the laws of probability at work - if you have any actual interest in math-y stuff,
this article is a pretty interesting read and can explain pretty easily the situation that many people experience. You got multiple items in the same game that are rare, is it because an item is more likely to appear once it's appeared once? No, but if it seems to happen enough, you might convince yourself it's the case, and it's easy enough to do. Sadly, math says it is otherwise, and assuming the appearances are intended to be truly random, then it should be easily explained away by the page.
Of course, you probably don't want to get into
computer generated random numbers and how they can make a difference, but... something to think about. In the long run, if done well, it shouldn't make a difference anyway.
