I don't know if this has been discussed on this forum, but i found it on another site. The maximum amount of on any given level is determined by the enemies you kill with one bomb on the previous level.

0 enemies - maximum of 1 letter
1 enemy - maximum of 1 letter
2 enemies - maximum of 2 letters
3 enemies - maximum of 3 letters
and so on

this has helped me so that i am not waiting around for more letters that wont appear. during the lower levels i usually get cristal every 8 or 10 levels.

Really? I was under the impression that it was just time based (after a certain period of time, another will pop up). I typically wait until I get at least 2 letters in the first 15 or so levels before killing the last enemy. Then again, I haven't played in quite a while now, and I'm not sure if they changed it or not.

Unless you're talking about something else, then I just feel kinda stupid.

I don't remember starting to play again... Unless you mean when did I come back? I occasionally come back to troll the forums.

Cristal letters will always appear in a level as long as there are enemies there, what abstract is talking about is how many unique letters there will be in any particular level (and that is a maximum, as if say there were 3 unique letters to fall, and they were randomly chosen as L, S, and L, then that's just too bad )
