Ghosts start flying around, every enemy gets a glow, it's all nice'n'all but.. what exactly is the point?

Also, and especially should be nuked from orbit. I even prefer getting or then those two.

That is the item that you are referring to.

It makes the ghosts come in the background and makes everything glow orange.

You can run into any enemy and get 666 points.
Although enemies do not harm you anymore, any projectiles that they shoot still hurts. Also the does not make you safe from the fireball.

I think is situationally good... you just have to get used to it.

The dandelion + black lamp is actually a pretty devastating combo. You can float for almost forever
