Also, I havn't got the constellation book, but if you stand underneath the platform you want the bomb on, and kick it at the same time as it blows up, it will have its effect on the enemy above, so you can use a blue bomb to get an enemy down from a platform above you without having to jump up.

Yeah, I'm aware of that technique. However, it requires a bit of timing, which is hard to do when you're trying to focus on 7 other enemies that can kill you right off the bat if you don't pay attention. Being able to kick it up there will just make my life so much easier (because then I can time it right and get them from 2 levels above instead of just one).
