i cant beat 44 if my life depended on it any advice?

go down to where the 'Beaming gate' is an push a snowball in there - you should clear the 2 lemons, that are under the other 3? ... after that jump in the 'beaming gate' and kill the lemons that are over you

at first i had problems with this level too, but after trying it 2 times i knew what to do

i tend to land on the top of that level, enter the lemon area from the right side to take out the bottom two, then go for each level higher (jumping back out the top and in the right side when i need to get out the way) until all the enemies are down. Then just finish the ones that didn't fall in the hole at the bottom.
And if you accidentally fall through the top teleporter from the top, you should still be able to jump upwards the moment you go through it meaning you'll end up at the bottom platform instead of dying off the bottom of the screen.

if i take the time to walk all the way to the teleporter at the bottom (with a delay for dodging lemon juice)i tend to start running out of time, which means all those lemons in confined spaces (with a dangerous teleporter above your head) suddenly get a lot more hectic

I usually lend on top, then go for the top left lemon first by jumping in his "niche" from below. More often then not he takes out the top right lemon right away, and a few of the lower ones, too. Then I go back up and around and re-enter the lemon gauntlet from the right side. I don't use the teleporter at all unless the first lemon gives me a hard time with an unavoidable missile.

Of course, one day I'll find a way to get a big crystal on this level in time...
