About Mark Tuitert - well, at least I was close when I said he was a 1500m runner
I thought he was dutch because I know this "ui" as typical dutch; at least I don't know any other language that uses this combination of letters frequently, and the rest of the name also fit it. The sound of "Tuitert" can be dutch, the first name is at least from a german-related language - I guess that "Marc" would be more common in other languages than "Mark"; even in Germany I know more Marcs than Marks.
This is what led me to the idea that Mark Tuitert could be dutch.

ireen wüst is indeed a dutch iceskater just like mark tuitert and sven kramer and true, tuitert is very dutch and ireen probably comes from irene which is also a commonly used name in the netherlands (and not only there) .. kramer could. again, be more different nations but also quite dutch wüst i would earlier call german than dutch.. and sven, well, swedish? i agree on the mark issue ok i should really talk less
