The next post would like to have the option to temporarily "disable" a family -- perhaps only after you've unblocked every item in it -- to prevent its items from appearing in upcoming games.

(Personally, I'd enjoy the strategy involved in deciding which families to turn off. If you want to improve your chances at a C5 significantly at all, you'd have to disable families with a lot of potentially hat-saving items.)

True. Part of the problem with my computer is that it still runs Windows ME.

Lost a few games to personal mistakes, but never because of my computer. Even on my old one that was always around 5 fps from level 70 or earlier...
