Well my main problem is simply that if every single atom can take a different path, 99% of the universes would be complete caos, so i guess if it's true we are insanly lucky by nature.The atoms are still bound by rules that should exist in every reality, like gravity. So all universes would have similar structures and I would even say that in every reality there would be what we call "intelligent lifeforms". I am pretty sure that there are other intelligent lifeforms even in this universe. So we would only be one group among many lucky ones.
However - if there are alternate realities, we won't ever be able to see them - we are not even able to see and understand this universe! So for us they don't exist and for the people living there, we don't exist...
Some authors using time machines in their texts take advantage of this possibility in a quite reasonable way imho. But are time machines possible?
The next poster thinks that some day, humans will be able to construct time machines and to travel back in time.
