What's more important to you, lives or points? For me it's points. My reasoning is, sometimes I can have 7, 8, 9 lives and lose them all in a couple of rounds. I build up lives, being very careful, and then...POOF! And sometimes one life lasts 20, 30 rounds or more. But if you miss a big crystal, or a valuable object, you can't get that back.

Now I'm playing nightmare mode so for me the most important are lives (4 nighmare keys left to unblock ) But in normal mode.. If I don't try to unlock some c0 item then I try to do the most levels as I can to increase probability to get some nice items But if I do a score run.. I think I don't have to end this sentence..

This is something anyone can answer differently, depending on their skill and their current goal.

Your best level is 70 and your best score is a bit over 1.000.000. The next life you can get is at 2M which is too far away. Few missed big crystals won't affect your 1M life, so you don't have to worry about points this much. I suggest you concentrate on getting further in the game and beating Tuber. When you beat him you will have +1 life when you start the game and then you can concentrate in going in more PDs and getting more points, so you could advance in the Pyramid and reach Hall of Fames later.

oh and what if you're at level 72.4 with one life left and you know you can get both orders but the last letter appears after 3 or 4 wrong ones? (so it isn't as easy as getting the purple one and then the letter)

I think It depend on how many points I would have. If I have a begging of mil I'll get a letter, but if I have lets say in a half of a mil I'll get both crystals, because after that there are 75 and 76 lvls where getting another big crystal is not very complicated and 78 of course if you have meluzzine

This thread should really be called "Lives vs. Points vs. Items," because I often play item runs, the goal of which is to gather up as many items as possible so that I can unblock them sooner, and in these runs I don't really care too much about my score.

hehe forgot to mention something about the score indeed. Ok let's make it fun,, what if you would have 4,1kk? it are a lot of points extra, but not enough for the 5kk life and then your last letter may give you more..

There is no life at 5M, so problem solved . I am a greedy gamer and 90% of the times I WANT POINTS! Rescently I am doing fine in ruining order + evading death, but not always . How do you think I've made my best score without just completing the game, not trying to get all orders? ^.^

It depends on the person. One would always take the letter, other will always take the points. The letter will give you life, after all. The points you can still make later.

Wrzou brings up a good point...the longer you stay alive, helped most clearly by more lives, the greater chance you have of finding great objects. Electriczax, thanks for the tip. Certainly right now there is no way I could ever get to Tuber, so I just try to get as many points as possible, and slowly get better and better at beating levels. But obviously, level 100 is my goal, and psychologically that is where I should focus.

I go by lives, just because I last longer and can grab more items and potentially more points in later cavern.

I'll go along doing really well and then suddenly lose two lives on one level.. Lives are the most important, for me. More lives = more items to grab = more quests completed = more items available. Also, = getting closer to Tuber.
