Hammerfest: The Complete FAQ

Pyramid level: 2 476

Welcome to Hammerfest! Your best friend when it comes to unfair platform gaming! Ever felt that feeling when you scream "NO!!!" At the screen when you lose that life that you paid with your very own 2p? Well Hammerfest is your new best bud.

With over 300 items to collect, parralel dimensions to discover, more than 100 levels, and 15 types of fruit, Hammerfest is a lovingly crafted platformer created to entertain children and adults alike! You are Igor, a cocky snowman. The cruel Tuber The Sorcerer has bewitched all the fruits in existance, and stolen your beloved carrot- nose! Without hesitation, you set forth to fight this creepster. But will you succeed?

Part 1: The Basics- Controls And Movement
Use the ARROW KEYS to move Igor from Left to right, and UP to jump. Press the SPACE BAR to make Igor set down a bomb, which will blow your enemies into the void as quick as a flash!

To kill the fruits, you need to either collect certain items which can unleash devistating effects on your opponents, or you need to blow them into the void with the Standard Ice Bomb. They will take approximately 1.5 seconds to explode on your enemies.

Part 2: Items- Collecting Them And Their Effects
Randomly around the stages, different Items such as 4 , 5 ,1 + 1008 are sure to appear. Some items unleash great effects- Some don't. It's up to you to discover them! Some items make Igor Invisible, some are packed with crystals, and some call down surreal three- eyed star gods to pulverise your enemies. One even wakes up some manga bloke to knock your foes out. Farfetched or what?! Good luck.

Part 3: The Enemies- Their Attacks An' That
What would Hammerfest be without those totally satanic fruits? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing! The only way to kill the fruits are to set down certain bombs. Ranging from harmless two- eyed cherries, tiny orange seedlings and boulderish oranges to flying melons, rabid strawberries and overweight potatoes, this game is a Cha-Cha-Challenge!!!

Part 4: Buying Games- The Whole Process
If you feel you wanna buy more games, visit the "More Games" Section on the LEFT (Snowflake with a plus on it). You can buy more goes with your money as shown:

25 109 For $5 (Can convert into Pounds/Euros)
80 109 For $15 (Can convert into Pounds/Euros)
270109 For $50 (Can convert into Pounds/Euros)

And, as you buy games, you can obtain free games on a weekly basis. The number of weekly games you obtain increases depending on the number of games you have bought. There are a few panels:

- 8 bought games give you 2 free games each week.

- 16 bought games give you 3 free games each week.

- 24 bought games give you 4 free games each week.

- 75 bought games give you 5 free games each week.

- 150 bought games give you 6 free games each week.

- And the last panel: 250 bought games give you 7 free games each week.

Section 5: Quests And Tasks- Completing 'Em
In Hammerfest, there is a wide variety of quests such as "Collect The 1051 Secret Golden Coins" to help you on your adventure. There is also a quest "Collect the 5 10 Telephones" Quest to help you obtain a 25% bonus on buying games!!!

So, That's all, folks! Enjoy the Caverns!
Yours truly, Billybob 1142.

The shields (bubble protection) make you invincible, I've yet to see something that makes you invisible. So I may be wrong.

You get five free games when you sign up. Once you use them all up, you never get any more.

However, you can go into your options and 'reset' your account, which erases all your quest progress and gives you back your five free games at the start of the next day.

Or you can go buy games, which was covered in the first post. That gives you some weekly free games in addition.

when you start a new game, you have to begin from the first level again.
And what you said with the blue circle, that exists only in the French and Spain version.
The English version is only a flattened version of the original French game.
On the french version there are more levels and more items
