I've started to do it, may take one or two days till I'm done, but you can already get the idea, though I'm not sure if I'll keep it this way or how it is on the French server.

Do I understand correct that from settings (eternalfest) we can actually change our username?

Only your display name for eternalfest is changed. So your login name stays the same, and for hfest also nothing changes, but on your eternalfest profile it shows the new display name at the top.
