Today's futile game, ending on level 92, underscored an important lesson: Don't try to dodge strawberry balls by moving left-right unless you have .

On the bright side, I have a reliable strategy for beating level 72 without any deaths: Enter to the left, land on the first platform, don't attack litchi (it won't follow you immediately), bomb orange, dislodge left lemon with jump + bomb, go to lemon's ledge and use it as a defensive position to destroy everything on top half of screen (except maybe second lemon).

Any strategies for level 91? I can't find a way to kill the strawberry without sacrificing a life (or 2 lives in this game because the first bomb missed).

Was going great. Got a and right off the bat, got every giant crystal practically that could come, but then...

@jd: I use your strategy; it is much easier than entering on the right and trying to lob bombs onto the 1x1 square (and it gives you access to the effect item). But be warned that sometimes the lychee will jump up from the very start, so you have to be prepared to maneuver around it and find a safe spot on the ground before you jump up to continue with your plan.

And my advice on 91, from page 114 of this thread:
Launch a bomb when you enter the level to make sure the pineapples don't trip you. Then go straight to either 3:00 or 9:00, wait, and jump over the ball. From there, you should have time to go down to 5:00 or 7:00, jump inside the strawberry's cage, and launch a bomb at him. If you think you'll have trouble jumping inside, you can land on 4:00 or 8:00 to start with, but I'm not sure if you'll have time to get all the way there.

I have done a little more practice, and found that your time is very limited using this method. I think it is safer to maybe stop near the top and dodge a ball, then move further down and dodge a second ball, rather than trying to do it all in one go. Also, if you don't make it inside his cage on your first jump, he will throw another ball once you are inside, so keep your reflexes sharp !

For level 91, I use a similar method which I think is safer:
I go directly down to ~4:00, directly above the right pineapple (of course, which pineapple is used doesn't matter, but I am always on the right side). When a pineapple stomps, I jump (of course), when the strawberry shoots at me, I can quite easily dodge the ball and then have enough time to go inside and bomb the strawberry. The rest is easily done bombing the pineapples from 9:00 or 3:00 and going down to them when they are frozen to shoot them on the spikes.

The only problems I see in this method are
1) when both pineapples try stomping at the same time because you need good timing with bomb jumps to dodge them both and you are a good target for the strawberry as long as you are concentrated on the pineapples (but this is always a problem, no matter where you are standing)
2) when a pineapple's stomp and the strawberry's shot come at the same time - dodging the shot becomes a lot harder, especially if you then try to reach the strawberry! But this does not get easier if you stand at 3:00; in contrary I think the place above a pineapple is even safer.

After dropping a bomb on the strawberry, there are still a few seconds in which it can kill you. Do you recommend rushing to escape through the bottom of the cage or standing still?

Once again, the cadomax video makes the level look far easier than it really is. There are only two stomps before the strawberry dies, the first of which results in a non-fatal nap. How unrealistic is that?

Haven't really mentioned this before; but the start of level 92 is also tricky. Cadomax recommends going right for the pear at the top. Today, I lost my last life doing this because the pear came straight for Igor and I didn't have enough time to jump. An alternative is to go left and wait behind the white line. But that isn't really safe either one stomp from the pineapple sends flying through the teleporter and right into the orange.
