Neko had a dream last night about hammerfest.

I went into a level that looked like it would belong somewhere in the 0x levels, and there were nothing but cherries. My effect item was a BoS and my "point" item was a BoM (I got the "point" item first though) and once I had the BoS, instead of shooting out 5 blue crystals, it covered all the floor with random small crystals of every color (but mostly green and yellow) that reswpawned the moment I collected them, and my bombs became huge like when Igor and sandy work together, only bigger because the game screen kep zooming in and in and in, and 2 more BoS appeared and I got them too, and giant crystals were appearing where the BsoS had been, and once the game screen zoomed in enough so the small crystals were as big as big ones, they began giving big points. Once I killed all the cherries, the screen slowly went back to normal, and the crystals stayed on the screen but stopped respawning, and as I jumped off the screen to go to the next level, an ace of diamonds appeared. D:

...For the restof that game I made giant bombs that got ridiculously bigger every time I kicked them.

My game today was wasted because Hammerfest decided to stop on the "Starting game..." screen, and it refused to continue.

Better this time with 2 player mode, but still not nearly good enough. Made it to level 34.

Have any of you ever made it to level 50 in 2-player mode with just 1 player?

@jd, I made it on my third try. Here is the strategy that ended up working out best for me:

Igor does virtually everything. Igor kills the enemies and picks up the items, while Sandy just stands in the corner someplace where hopefully he won't get killed. This prevents you from trying to focus on two characters at once, just to keep their scores even or something.

It doesn't matter who gets the small crystals. Whoever is closest.

At first, Sandy gets all the giant crystals. When they start dying, give the giant crystals to whoever needs lives more, unless the other guy is really close to a checkpoint score.

Igor always leaves the level first (unless Sandy accidentally grabs , I guess).

Fyi, there is a safe spot for Sandy on just about every level up to the 50's, if you look hard enough. It's almost always foolproof, unless there are jumping enemies (A, B, Bm), in which case you want to glance over at Sandy every few seconds to make sure he's okay. After the 50's, you have to start doing a little multitasking.

Is there any quest that requires that? I presume that an item will just appear after clearing level 49; is that right?

2-P Mode has it's own versions of and , in the same place as their solo counterparts.

Yikes. Must take a real champion to get those with 1 player.
