with level 90 on your first run and first death in 49 i think you should be able to beat the game on NM pretty soon. My first run i ended up in level 91 and about 5-8 games later i got my first nightmare key. Practice helps for levels like 88, but personally i hate 90 on nightmare:S I have been into PD82 only once on a point run accidentally, but i was able to skip every level due to that kind of things think it's pretty hard though. One more thing: Tuber itself is actually easier on NM since you have a speedboost

I freaking hate the PD on lvl 43 I think it is. I lost all 5 of my lives on the 1st freaking lvl.
Only decent thing was I unblocked :/

The first level of PD 43? Doesn't that just consist of two bigs and a little? It's not so hard; just remember that two littles fall from the top of the screen whenever a big dies.

The best advice for NM is drill, drill, drill. And never lose hope. If you play long enough, you'll get there. It's just a matter of knowing the levels by heart so you don't die quite so frequently. Get used to speeding through the levels (fireball will be your main source of deaths). I think Tuber is the same speed as usual. And your count is very important, so make sure you pay attention to those.

For the record, I reached 91 (or 92, don't remember) on my first NM run, just like piet. But it took me almost 40 NM games to beat NT. To each his own pace, I suppose. If you haven't gotten it after a dozen or so , I can give you pointers on your most problematic levels.

Oh yeah, PD82 is really difficult. That's why it's called Diffiland (and the Key of Difficult Worlds). The ranking, from what I've heard (and my personal opinion) is:

@jd: i think he means PD46? the first level of that one is quite hard, especially without up-kick

@nemo: i have to admit that the first time i beat NT i was quite lucky after that i had a couple of stupid unconcentrated NM-runs resulting in a total of:

GT: got my first one of those purple gems on level 23. made it to level 28.
DVT: when i died, i had i believe, CRI_TAL . had 0 lives by level 26(), and thats it.

i got two golden igors and more cristals than usual but i had a terrible game, died 7 times before level 40 and game over at 48, at least i got some good coeff 4s and completed the quest with the golden igors

No progress on my second Nightmare Run. Bunch of early deaths offset fairly good CRISTAL luck. Game over on level 90 again, despite having 3 lives going in. Can't say any of the 3 were stupid deaths, just a product of horrific luck. First came from at the very beginning; #1 stomped just as I was dropping through. Last death came when the last pineapple used the fireball as a shield. Excellent teamwork on the part of the pineapples. They really sacrificed to protect each other; I guess they deserved to win.

To add insult to injury, Windows failed just as the game results were being submitted. Fortunately, it seems to have gone through anyway as I now have 2 Arduous keys.

First Nightmare score above 2M. Note to self: Big crystals aren't worth it when trying to reach Tuber.
