I just went 50 levels, 10 through 50 plus PD's (11 and 43 I think) without a single T. Not even a T that I just missed; it literally didn't show up.

What's the longest anyone here's gone without seeing one common letter? *sigh*

Also, though I'm (temporarily) #1, this will most definitely not last long because after leaving PD 51 with 8 lives, I died. Again, and again, and again, twice on 62...I was torn between wanting to scream and wanting to cry. I hate it when I play much worse than I should.

I remember that I got my first 0 at 6X level. And also I didn't miss any letter that I didn't have.

Hey Kiri, do you know the rules of the letters? (this isn't always a guaranteed way to get what you need, but in any case) the number of enemies you kill at once decides how many different letters you CAN get in the next level. So if you kill three enemies at once (getting a red crystal to drop) you could get 3 different letters on the next level. Try to keep this in mind if you'd prefer to get the letters over just getting the order. Also, try to wait before killing everything, it gives more time for different letters to drop.

out of experience i can tell you that that doesn't guarantee anything;) i had a game where i went through pd3, pd11, pd15, pd26, pd43 and only somewhere after that i got my last letter.. every time i killed like 6 enemies in a level, the next level gave like 5 times the same letter:( but of course, chances are better if you kill more enemies:)

81 Yeah, I know everything about the cristals - I basically have to to get as far as I have. But thank you for making sure all the same. Still, as piet says, I have died more than a couple times waiting for more than one letter to show - Even following levels like 20, where I try to kill them all at once if the sunflower doesn't show. (Way too hard for me to get the order as I am.)

That being said, I really hate it when the letters are unyielding in their RNG-based cruelty.

Anyways, today I entered PD 15 with 8 or 9 lives, and left with something like 3. Three more keys until it's unblocked, but despite the alarmingly high death rate, I don't think I'll stop going after that's unblocked.

For one, I'll eventually get a chaos stapler and unlock the other 10 levels within. Second, I think it's a good idea to start practicing hard PD's now that I'm moderately skilled, so that when I HAVE to pile on the points to reach the HoF, I'll be much better suited to not only survive, but get the orders within them.

Is this a good idea?

Very good with pd15, sucked at it at first, everyone said I was stupid to keep going at it, now from that and 15.12 I can get a Mill out of it :keepcool:
