If you go through a maximum amount of levels it is likely you'll hit at least 3mil by then which is 5 extra lives, plus two in PD 51, and any number of letters you get (I usually get 5 by the time I make it to hell and I don't have access to all the PD's beforehand). If you don't die in any of those places, that's 12 lives right there for a total of 19. My best is 17 when I entered hell though (and coincidentally, that was the game I got the Pyramid Pass. Funny how that works, huh?)

Did you noticed that it is nightmare mode? With so many lives fireball comes almost after point item disappears(maybe later but not much later)...

indeed, 20 can't be true, that's insane
i think the most lifes i've entered hell with (in normal mode) is 17, and i was very lucky at that time

Argh! AGAIN GO at PD.51. What's happening to me? I do the monster levels, but lose at the level before the joystick...
If I had'nt went in PD.42 by mistake, maybe I would have made it...
Well, the only good thing about my game is that I got the 6'th Big Unemployment in 3.2
And yes, I'm saying PD now instead of PU.
In PD.51 I only died once to monsters. The rest of my deaths (I came in with 6 extra lives) Were to spikes... Twice (!) In 51.0... I can't get through that level anymore without dying twice there...

Today was a REALLY bad game for me. I somehow managed to die 3 times in 43.4 and twice more in 43.5, eventually GO in level 63...
The only good things in my game today are the 8'th Gamecube controller and a 7'th earthworm (That's the 3'rd one in 2 games, do I have an attraction for worms?)

When NM I go in PD3, PD11, PD15, PD25/26 (I have a minimum amount of points there and if I'm below it I go in PD25 for pts), PD33 (if I'm still too low on points and have a , but I mostly ignore it) PD43, PD51. I have 2mil (get 3mil in Hell) which makes 11 lives, without counting letters. Add +2 from PD51, one and 6 and you have it. You have NO IDEA how fast the FireBall is .

what you say isn't really true.. you say 11 lifes due to 5 lifes (100k, 500k, 1kk, 2kk 3kk) but you said you ENTERED hell with 20 lifes, while you said before that you got the 3kk life inside hell, so that would mean 19 lifes when entering hell.. furthermore i still can't believe that you go through NM-PD51 with at least 15 lifes without dying

NOOOOO!!!!!!!My computer was "borrowed" and my game was deleted by my mom...SOB I loath life.

ARGH.

Game started off fairly average, then progressed to very good and then progressed to DVT.

start of 51 i had about 4.5 and 6 lives

died on 51.4 once, then 51.5 once, then the last level with enemies TWICE and i go to the golden igor level, lagging it down, i start playing once the lag is gone and the goddamn thing walks me into the spikes and kills me i swear i like stomped on the spacebar

then i go to 53, a green umbrella spawns on me and takes me past 54 and pd55

get into pd64, on the second level, first one death from falling off the stage then another for i dont even remember probably running into an orange.

no lives left - last real level of pd64, i double upkick a bombino on the high square above me. as i launch my second upkick it does the bobbing motion for when it moves and falls down under me while blinking so that i land on its stupid explosion
