Nightmare Mode

What does "nightmare mode" mean? I've heard of it quite often without any explanation... Does anyone know more?

Same with the "mirror mode".

And - how do I unlock this nightmare mode? I know how to unlock Ninjutsu or Mirror mode, but nothing about the nightmare...

yeah, kill tuber then you will get the item which unlocks Nightmare mode.
In Nightmare mode the fruits are faster and Igor too
