a) I finally got the gold mushroom!!
Funny thing was when I picked it up, the "Perfect! 50K" thing showed up (the same one that pops up if you get all the crystals after collecting an orb). Unfortunately, it was on a harder level, and I dies before I could pick up ten of the silver mushrooms to unlock it in my fridge 
b) I got to level 98, which is my record! (previously, I was never able to defeat the pineapple boss)
c) I picked up a PURPLE ORB, which was incredible, since the crystals you have to pick up are worth TEN GRAND EACH, and I got them all, giving another 50K
d) I FINALLY GOT ALL THE POTIONS, so I can finally kick bombs up now - I think the game will be INCREDIBLY easier now.
All in all, I'm delighted.
Next on my list of things to do:
1. Beat Tuber.
2. Get the gamepad from the level 77 parallel dimension.
3. Get the mirror from level 97's parallel dimension.
Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish these things in the near future.
