I went bad today (again), but, at least, I completed Bon Vivant quest!

wow! i mean, wow!

i got to level 67!!!!! thats amazing for me! first time beating the strawberries too! really dark down there, and kinda hard too
but i also unblocked and found two of the purple gems and one of the minty candy things, nothing else spectacular though... but still! also got over 1 mil, only second time thats happened

A great game for me, I managed to finally get to tuber with 6 lives and then didn't even need but one of them which I got with the Ig'or ( ) that showed up there. I've been fighting him so long with 1 life left I got used to his patterns (I've gotten to him almost every game I've played). Not only that, but I've been practicing on the french server by refreshing every so often and playing with no powerups(I usually refresh after I've used all my games) and not only did I make it to tuber but I have a fun video I wanted to post as well:

(Note that while I have no powerups I do pick up the lamp as the effect item and take advantage of it. It helped but usually I'll be fin with my upkick and two bombs.)

I did the other levels almost as well but my screen recording program didn't work right so I could only cut out a short but. Also, it's been talked about before but I'm fairly sure I can confirm for certain that the only way to get the that appears there is by making your framerate go under 30 fps.

Having is not "no powerups" though . However you're almost right about the . It appears if your fps is lower than (??) 30 (??). Or if you go to that level using , or

Well, the idea was starting with no powerups, I'm not going to go the whole game without getting them I consider that lamp a common enough occurence that I'm not bothered by it.

Due to nightmare mode tuber being too laggy on this computer, I decided to have a go at hell. Today was my 3rd attempt, and I got the the first level with raspberries! It went something like this:
level 4:
level 5: the shield from the umbrella allowed me to kill the strawberry easily
Level 7: no lives lost despite only being here once before, and losing my last three lives trying to get through that try!
Level 8: helped me get through with no lives lost.
level 9: I was surprised by how easy it was to get past the spikes - for the sideways ones you just just hold down left, no need to jump at all!
Level 11: much to my surprise, I only lost 1 life here, despite no items!
I lost my last 2 lives on the first raspberries level, due to them teleporting themselves through me.

I think watching videos of how it was done beforehand helped quite a bit.

Hmm... I was watching a recording of my latest game and was wondering, does anyone else find that they play a lot better than they think they do when they're actually playing? Despite the fact that I finished the standard game with at least 13 lives, I still felt like I had played poorly, but watching myself play I saw a lot of instinctual reactions and quick reflexes that I didn't even realize because I often focused on when I died. Just curious if anyone else felt that way. I guess this would necessitate that you record all your games (I do just to watch over and in case I get something special, most of them I delete though).

For me, I sometimes think I'm getting worse and worse, and that's before an 80+ level run
