YAY. unblocked.

Only lost two lives in Pretty Forest, even when trying for all the (possible) orders. (I didn't succeed at any, but I tried, and that's what gets you killed.) It turns out all I needed was more focus and a decent playlist. (Zax, I'm okay ...) I'm a bit bummed that I got two on some high-order levels, but messed them both up when I accidentally shot someone during a "bomb jump." Oh well.

That's my 8th Frozen Key. And 2nd Wooden Master. And I made it to 7 in PD51, but took too long and had lost one too many lives in PD46, so Pyro cornered me. (I realized right after I died that I was standing right in front of a portal ... but there were too many fruits left anyway.)

Just two more Frozen, then I can focus on the later PD's, and in a week or two it'll be back to Nightmare.

Heh. Having the unlocked will probably save you all the lives you need to get through PD51.

Good things for today:

I found my first Green Moss Pearl on Level 86! Farewell, leapers! Hello, lovely points! Even without the 50K bonus, that was pretty sweet.

Also just tried 2-Player mode on the Spanish server. My left hand ran out of lives on Level 21. But the right-hand control scheme is what gave me the most trouble. The arrow keys are pretty far from the Enter key, so I have to walk/jump with my thumb + pinky + ring finger while somehow dropping bombs with my pointer finger. Very awkward, but the mode seems like a lot of fun overall. I especially like the possibility of getting (potentially) twice as many screen-clearing per game.

One weird thing, though...

Siempre se dice -1 puntos y el nivel cero ... no le importa en que servidor jueges. Solo quieren destacar que no recibes nada salvo los objetos del modo de dos jugadores.

It always says -1 points and level zero ... it doesn't matter which server you play on. They just want to emphasize that you don't get anything but items from two-player mode.

(Six years of Spanish classes have been good to me. )

On my laptop, the Enter key is directly above the up key, so theoretically my middle finger could multitask with up and Enter, and it wouldn't feel too awkward. But yeah, my brother always complains about that when we play 2-p. I don't know why they chose Enter ... pretty much any other key would be better. Does Ctrl still work ? Ctrl would be much easier to reach.

Aha. I was afraid it was a glitch, but as long as it's working like it should, I'm happy. Items are the important things, after all!

Unfortunately, the Ctrl key no longers works in that mode. I'll just have to continue my efforts to conscript my roomie into playing. Even with the odd key setup, surely it's easier when you can use both hands on one snowman.

Solo cometiste dos errores ... "yo tengo," y "espanol" es minusculo ... pero no eres tan mala. En que grado estas ? "Roomie" sounds like college; did you start late on Spanish ?

And out of curiosity, what are you using for the diacritic marks -- ascii or copy-paste ?

So, just for fun, I decided to try my hand(s) at this 2-p phenomenon, over in France ... I reached 45 (so close !!!). The saddest part is that when I entered the level, Sandy still had two lives. But it turns out there IS NO safe spot on 45, so he quickly got both his lives juiced out of him while I was busy trying to get Igor up onto that godforsaken center platform.

Also, it was a very bad idea to try to keep their point totals even, because neither ended up getting the 500k bonus. They had about 350k each in the end, and Igor still had four lives left. The Lives Sharing will certainly help, allowing you more flexibility in your tactics.

It turns out, with my keyboard, I got used to Enter very rapidly. The middle finger can quite easily and quickly move up and down with no problem. The hard part was trying to press the "A" key with my pinky finger. Dreadful, just dreadful.

It turns out that in France, instead of the score/level (lack of) data, they show two cute little images side-by-side of Igor and Sandy scowling at each other, and their individual scores are underneath them. Apparently they are competing, or at least they think they are.

The good thing is that I know I can reach 49 next time.

Next time don't go for the crystal on 45. You could just kill one of the bottom lemons and have a safe spot.

Sí, tengo uno año de español en escuela. Ahora estudio en mi hogar con LiveMocha. Skipped a few years of language study inbetween. Haven't chosen to attend college, but a roomie is always a handy thing to have.

And out of curiosity, what are you using for the diacritic marks ?

45 is an impressive first attempt! Isn't there one (just barely) safe square on either side of the spikes? Or does Igor need a wider margin to avoid getting lemon'd?
