Well that was... interesting... Made it to 54.10; but couldn't make it past the portal in time. So this is my first time leaving PD 54 alive and killing Tuber. Other than that though, no highlights. The rare item drought continues...

I think I have a long way to go before I become JenKickass (but that's definitely the goal).

Yesterday I made it one level farther (96!) in solo 2-P mode. It should be a little easier from now on with life sharing.

For anyone else who's trying it, it seems the best thing to do is split points evenly until both of your guys have 1 million points (since +3 lives each is better than +4 for one), and then give everything to one of them for the rest of the game.

...I can't wait to try the double bomb on Level 99. :keepcool:

On a less bright note, I missed 108

on 54.6. The strategy of staying at the top of the box really hurt me there. Then again, had I immediately jumped into the spikes instead of stupidly chasing after the umbrella without a bubble; I may have made it anyway. Failing to get 108

cost me 4-5 lives and a chance at another deep run into Metal.

Ouch. Yeah, it's theoretically possible to grab the effect item in 54.6 without dying, but if you fail, there's no time for a second attempt. If you throw Igor on the spikes right away, though, you can just make it. (If your bubble disappears before you reach the umbrella, jump for it anyway, even if there's an enemy standing on it. The umbrella's hit detection seems to extend farther than the fruit's. Hooray!)

The same insta-suicide "strategy" works for 54.7 -- though your bubble will definitely be gone by the time you get near the item, so you have to avoid the last saw carefully.
