LAN Hfest Party

Le Panthéon ! 1
Tuesday 10 Aug 2010 20:32
I'm thinking of creating a 3rd party server running Windows and then inviting people to play 2play on my computer using their own keyboard and computer, remotely. I'm wondering if this can be done and if it can is anyone interested?

I want someone as good as me :P but not too amazing.;)

I wonder if that really could be done... sounds conceivable... I would definitely be interested in that :D But I think I may be a few levels above the partner you're looking for... :?

Of course, everyone would have to contact me and give me their IP. :?

My email is now public.

So, this is theoretically how this could be done:

a. Go to Control Panel>System>Remote Settings>Enable
b. Start>All Programs>Accessories>Remote Desktop Connection
c. Enter my IP. (I will email it to you on the day of as it is dynamic)
d. Use my credentials once asked for login and pass.
e. Login and once you're in we can play a game (in theory:!: )
f. 2-Play Items:(our goals)
1. A Shared Heart (Level 49) x2
2. Sand Mirror (Level 97.1) x10
3. Carrot x1
4. Hell a lot of times 8)
g. Other Notes
1. Fast Connection: How fast is your internet, is my internet fast enough to handle the strain?
2. Speed of Computer: Is my laptop powerful enough? Does your computer already lag?
3. Timezone: Do we live in completely different timezones?
4. Time: How much time are you usually allowed to play, my parents being strict a certain time of day must be determined.
h. Here's Hoping this Works

Aren't you logged out when someone remotely connects to your computer? If not, I am definitely in:youpi:

My internet must suffer bipolar disorder. Sometimes it's over 200kbps, others, 50kbps. Also, it disconnects a lot.

Now that I think better, maybe it wouldn't be a nice idea to play online.
