I wonder if one should better try to get the 150000 points for collecting the letters in order (I managed it twice so far, but it is hard...), or better try to get more lives as soon as possible?

And another question about these letters: If I get the rainbow, what determines which letters come? It doesn't look like pure accident...

I would say always go for the lives, that means collect the letters as they come. Only collect them in order if you're able to reach lvl50 or something without losing a life. Because you only really need the 150k points when you're aiming for the Hall Of Fame, and you won't get there if you don't beat tuber.

The rainbox is, as far as I know, completely random.

Although I WILL say that if you wait until after the QUICK! warning comes up, I've found that a majority of the time, the next letter that pops up generally is one you need, if that helps any.

(It coul be the 2nd letter to pop up after the warning...either way, you have to wait a while for it; generally people have killed all the enemies before it would pop up.)

you can't get CRISTAL when the enemies are killed..

Unless you can make it to 50-60 without dying, don't bother. It can sometimes take until about 30ish before you get your first CRISTAL and then after that it can take up to 60-70 before you get another one....getting them in order is hard, and it makes you lose focus when the next letter you need suddenly pops up in a level you can't easily get to it because of the layout and the enemies.

Thanks! Hehe, I can hardly manage to even get the . I usually lose my first lives in the twenties (often even earlier), and almost certainly one or two in each 48 and 50.

48 or 49?

48 is not that difficult - end the level before by jumping through the teleporter so you have the green bombs... Makes level 48 easier

Yeah, 49 is way more evil. Especially if you can't kick up bombs... stupid book of stars, won't show up.
