These appear from time to time in different colors and provide huge bonus points!

Is there a way to trigger these, or are they truly random? (The faster you clear the field? The slower just before "QUICK" appears?)

Or maybe I'm just crazy?

P.S. Best I've gotten is a purple crystal, what is the crystal that gives the most points? And how many enemies do you need to beat in one shot to achieve it?

you get the large crystals from beating the enemies in the correct order. this site has most of the levels and the order for the crystals.

and for your second question, the one that's worth the most points is a giant , worth (if I remember right) 250,000 points, and it's on levels with 10+ enemies.

The one that's worth the most points AND that is possible to get is the orange one (90,000) At least for me - I have seen the black crystal or the only once yet...

I've only been able to get a giant once, and that was because I managed to get a on level 62.

Actually there is a level on the "Bubble Bobble"-themed parallel dimension where you can "easily" take the 200.000 points green gem!

And I know the order for level 74 to get the green gem... But it is quite difficult and costs too many lives for me to do it

the biggest cristal i ever had was a black cristal!
