As I promise You, You will find here the rules about the competition : Internationnal Hammerfest Cup n° 2...Each week Me or Mr laventure will send to a moderator (which one?or i can post it) the Two tabel with the results and the new day of the cup...

Thanks to Gigusu to have translate my topic from .fr website...

In order to clarify the rules for everyone, here is the official rulebook for the second International Hammerfest Cup.
_______________________________________________________________________

52 Composition of the teams:52

I suggest you make your own teams. There are some limitations though. Here’s what we think is best:

1) A team can be made from 2 to 5 players
2) The sum of all the player’s scores must be between 20 millions and 21 millions (20,5 millions give or take 500K in a first time)
3) Each team must register with a team name

If you satisfy these rules, you must then seek approval from one of the organizers Teamless players will be teamed up by Mr laventure and Sajd according to the 3 rules mentioned above.

All people who want to play can come in competition and we will make team as strong as possible with Mr laventure...

Huge thanks per advance to everyone for helping organization and communication iin this Cup. Special thanks to Seba for their work on .ES site.

53 Unfolding of events and working of the matches53

We decided to use swiss rounds for the first part of the tournament (as used in Magic The gathering tournaments), as it’s a simple concept which allows us to play with any number of teams. There will be 4 rounds of swiss rounds (or 3 if we are less than 12 teams).

Each round will last 7 days, starting Tuesday 0.00 a.m, ending the next Tuesday at 0.00 a.m. The goal of each round is to beat your opponent’s team score. The tournament will start on 6th of July...
At the end of the round, a team score is calculated from the sum of its players scores (player A+B+C, +D+E as the situation may warrant). Highest team score wins.
The matchups for the 4 rounds will be randomly generated after taking into account each team’s total points at the time of the round. (A team with a low number of points will most likely battle with another low points team)

At the end of the 4 rounds, we will rank the teams from highest number of points to lowest and thus get our contestants for the bracket (either 4, or 8, to be decided later).

=> I’d rather do quarter-finals instead of semi-finals after the swiss rounds but it extends the tournament for another week. I need your opinions on this.
Note: Any given team cannot battle twice against the same team during swiss rounds.

54 The BYE:54

Having an odd number of team (?), we’ll be forced to have one team for each week that faces a “bye”. In order to win the 3 points granted for victory, the team will have to score 75% of its record by the end of the round.

Note: Following the former note, any given team cannot face a bye twice during swiss rounds.

________________________________________________________________________

56 Points system:56

As decided in the former instalments, a win earns 3 points while a loss only earns 1 point. This time however, we decided to add bonus points. A bonus point can be awarded when a team either:
Beats her team record (set before the match)
or
Loses with a point difference under 750K.

Note: Any given team can only be awarded 1 bonus point per round.

Don’t hesitate if you have any questions.

Good luck everyone!

Sajd

Translated by gigusu, sorry for the occasional mistakes, it’s been a while

26 New Facts : 26

In . FR site we try to replace people who want to play but have to go in holiday during less than 2 weeks... in order not to panalyse the other player of the teams...Are you agreee with this? do you try to replace your absent Player?
tell me about this, please...
