When I play 2 players mode with my friend, there is always a malfunction when we press some specific keys at the same time. This stops Igor or Sandy to act correctly, and we died by this way from time to time.

My question is, could 1 player use joystick instead of keyboard to play to avoid the malfunction?

I don't know if it is possible but you can use 2 keyboards to play on 2p mode with your friend.

If you can setup the keys on the joystick to represent a key on the keyboard, then you will be able to. There's no joystick support for that game.

I think it'd be worth to put this information here, because it is quite a common problem. To increase the buffer of your keyboard (to allow you to press more keys at once), do the following:

Press the Windows logo key and R at the same time.
Type regedit.
Go HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Services >> Kbdclass >> Parameters
Find KeyboardDataQueueSize.

There, increase the value to an hexadecimal value of your liking. The default is 100 (64 in hexa).

There, now you can play with a friend in the same keyboard.
