My theory is that playing in nightmare mode gives you more useful effect items. I've gotten 3 golden igors in 1 game on nightmare,but I've gotten none in a full week on normal games . Also i swear i haven't seen any of in that playthrough,may it be just coincidence?

Once I did a 2p game, and whoever died drank a shot. We didn't get an AoD tho, and for some reason we didn't make it very far

But... the flame appears quicker if you have too much lives. Hehe it's a big problem in nightmare mode because you need to increase the number of lives before the 90's where you know you ll loose a lot of lives. But if you have more than 8 lives in the 80's it's hard to finish those levels without the flame saying hello I come to warm you

Is this actually true? I have never heard about a theory like this, but I may do some experiments on that one once I'm back from holidays

In that Nightmare game are very excited but the flame only appeared once at level 43

That probably wouldn't make too much of a difference. But the in the video did indeed look enraged as hell. Then again, they're already annyoing enough in Normal Mode.
Btw I don't think I could even get to level 90 in NM without dying a couple of times, so I won't even consider getting there without any fireballs

Before finding that video I tried another strategy to avoid the incoming of the flame: I started the game by killing me twice With fewer lives the flame appears later but the problem with that strategy is that I don't have enough lives for the 90's

So now my strategy for NM is to increase my number of lives and pray for getting umbrellas, cards, ... in the 90's

But i am pretty sure something affects the behaviour of I remember old times when I was trying to get my first there were games where were a bit quiet. Maybe related to the number of lives. With 3 or 4 lives they are quiet but again... hard to get through the 90's with so little lives.

I just hope it's not random at start of the game: sorry dude but will be enraged for the whole game !

For me it often happens that if i miss a c5 item or higher i get another chance soon For example i missed a Laxative ( the blue green one which gives u 150 000 points) in Hell but got another chance on my second game and i collected it

Just me or do umbrellas show up more and more often if you collect them ever time?

I had a red on pop up, took it, had another, took it, and then started getting green and blue ones right and left.
