I just was a bit bored, so I went into the top profiles of this server (those with 100+ C5s) and got some statistics on C5s and C6s. I looked at all those where I could have a look at all their items from either a Tower of Greed or an eternalfest page.
The players I looked at combined had
- 810 effect C5s
- 600 point C5s
- 46 effect C6s
- 17 point C6s
Now let me do some 3rd grade maths and throw out some percentages I find interesting:
- 42,6 % of all C5s are point C5s
- 27,0 % of all C6s are point C6s
- for every 22,4 C5s there is one C6
Now I remember reading about the chances for items of the different Coefficient levels in the French forum. If I recall it correctly it is ~
- 1/2 for C1s
- 1/3 for C2s
- 1/8 for C3s
- 1/65 for C4s
- 1/700 for C5s
- 1/22'000 for C6s
These chances contradict our statistics a bit since chances for C6s are lower than our statistics suggest, but I'll go with them anyways.
According to these chances
- 1/1645 items is a point C5, and 1/21'385 items is a specific point C5.
- 1/1219 items is an effect C5, and 1/8530 items is a specific effect C5 (ignoring

).
- 1/81'529 items is a point C6, and 1/326'118 items is a specific point C6.
- 1/30'130 items is an effect C6, and 1/120'522 items is a specific effect C6.
This means that
on average it should take you roughly 2,5x longer to unblock a point C5 than to unblock an effect C5, and roughly 2,7x longer to unblock a point C6 than to unblock an effect C6.
Also the average player with 100 C5s will have 57,4 effect C5s, 42,6 point C5s, 3,26 effect C6s and 1,21 point C6s.
Now let's say you are a pretty decent player and can get to the boss and additionally do a few pds every game, so I'll assume you get 300 (non C0) items per game.
This would mean that
on average it will take you ~284 games to unblock a specific effect C5, ~713 games to unblock a specific point C5, ~4017 games to unblock a specific effect C6 and ~10'871 games to unblock a specific point C6.
Just a quick heads up for everyone who had always hoped to unblock a C6 one day. And to demonstrate the immense luck Joe had
Remember that these are theoretical thoughts based on item chances which I don't know for sure if they're accurate and the small sample size of 7 of our top players.
