I'm amazed...

Le Panthéon ! 1

...that people still post here.

Bored at work during a quiet period and I remember about this fun little game. Miraculously remember my password, check the forum for a laugh and am very surprised to see posts from as recently as less than a week ago.

It's over 8 years since the day I was so excited about finally reaching the HoF that I accidentally skipped the opportunity to write a message.

Anyone want to explain how so much time passes so quickly? I don't want to get all philosophical here of all places, but...damn. So much happens, so little of any real consequence.

Anyway. 2797 109 to get through.

Guess I'll just start it up, try to re-learn the game and maybe unlock a couple more items while I'm waiting for the huge update that I'm sure MotionTwin have planned for release any day now...39

I'm looking forward to next holidays when I will finally have time again to bust out a few games ...
There is not really much to write while I don't make any progress in this game. I still try to take a peek daily, but as I said, it is hard to write actively without playing actively (if that makes sense ;))

But clearly possible. xD

Time for a rambling ramble about time and space! ^_^

As I understand it, time is only a concept invented to measure eternity. "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff." Basically the universe, spinning in orbits.

In that way, our perceptions of it change. Like the saying, "Time flies when you're having fun!" When everything is awesome all the time, it's not awesome any more; it's mediocre. So time seems to pass more quickly because we want to enjoy the fleeting moment a bit longer, you know?

Childhood seems to crawl by, but it speeds up as we grow older-- and I'm told it only goes faster and faster as time goes on. I feel like time goes faster because we are trying to do so much. Sitting and watching paint dry for five hours would be the most boring, stupid task in the world, but chasing toddlers around and trying to make sure they don't accidentally kill themselves makes time both crawl and fly at once; it can't be over soon enough, but trying to keep a tight schedule is almost impossible.

I guess what I'm trying to say is... humans are creatures of both change and habit, which is why we tend to have routines. If every day of our lives is exactly the same as the next, it all blurs together and makes time seem to rocket past, even though every day we stare at the clock, begging it to move a little faster or slower. If everything changes faster than we can keep up, we feel lost and alone unless we have our routines, the people we know, and the clock.

When people imagine an epic adventure or a great movement in history, they forget that those events are the climax, often years, if not centuries, in the making. Day-to-day life is the time for setup; in the end, everything (no matter how initially exciting) becomes normal.

We all have the potential to be a Batman, physically and/or cerebrally. http://static.comicvine

But most of us are too busy surviving each day to live to our fullest potential. http://25.media.tumblr.com

Lots of stuff!

The question was more rhetoric than anything else but thanks for the read!

Time passes, people die. C'est la vie. :innocent:
