Yes, ive learnt that now too.
What I was trying to clear up, was that from what I had read previously, it sounded like it was being said that only when killed normally would the big cristal appear, it was rather confusing, I guess most likely lost in multiple translations.
But, now I understand, that so long as they are KILLED in the right order, it doesnt matter HOW they are killed.
(turning them into something else dont count as killing them)
There really should be a proper FAQ stickied for all this, and forget telling people to search...
I mean, Ive been wanting to find out what the actual effects of each quest is, and the only info I find simply quotes what the games says, rather than being more specific... i.e: Some sugar!: Effect: "Igor wants more sweet things! From now on sweets will appear in the game." but that doesnt really tell you, instead, it should say what items it actually then unlocks for collection.
Other examples...
Technological advance
Effect: "A lot of items of weird effects appear now in the game to help you in the adventure!"
It should say that, after this is complete, items like

etc will then appear.
Or Difaïned treasure unlocks the three new types of crystals for the next quest in the line...
When I, as a newer player, see you guys talking about certain items, I want to know how I get them to appear... what quest s lead to what items appearing. When I finish a quest, what new items I can expect to find...
Ive worked out now, that some quests that I have started need other quests to be finished before other items in that quest list will appear.
For example. Motion Twin Diet. So far, only two of the items in the quest appear. What quests unlock the other items?
While none of these answers will actually affect my game play, it would help give a better overall view of progression, knowing what what you have to do to unlock items you need.
