I just had that awful game... and I noticed that on the earlier levels you may wait for like 5 letters before the fireball comes out, but on the later levels you get only 4. And since I died so many times before lvl 15 I decided to complete the levels as fast as I can without waiting for letters. So when I got to Hell I had only 6 lives. But I was able to kill the enemies before the fireball come out and I died only 3 times - twice on the hardest 2 levels and 1 because of stupidity. On the levels after that I didn't have problems with the fireball either. So I think the more you wait on the levels the faster the fireball will come on the next levels. I've died so many times in Hell because the fireball hit me after I kill the fruits that I started to wonder if it would be better to end the first levels as fast as possible and this way benefit with time on each hard hell level. What do you think?

I usually wait a lot of time on the very first levels in order to collect lives for harder levels, but I have never noticed this lack of time on hell levels.

My 2 cents are that on the first levels you are pretty relaxed and it seems that time passes slowly (I can usually collect about 4 letters) but on the hell levels you are worried and hastened because of the difficulty.

Maybe someone could test it with a real timer, it could be an interesting theory

Well try waiting for letters on level 5. You will see 5 letters before the fireball come. And if you wait for letters on level 49 the fireball will come along with the 4th letter... BTW I just had a game with 2 coef. 5 items so I expect pretty lowsy items the next game. I'll make a quick run without parallels to see if there will be many letters on the later levels

I'm pretty sure I remember reading somewhere that the more lives you have, the quicker the fireball comes.

cadomax says that the fireball comes faster when you have 13 or more lives... (I couldn't test it yet - I always die when I have 12 But you should be able)

But I think your idea is wrong. Look at level 96 - you always need an extremely long time for 95, but I am always surprised how late the fireball comes at 96... Looks like a contra-proof to me, though I thought it could be true already a while ago

This may be it. I don't think I had 13+, but I had 10+ lives at lvl48 and it came fast. So it's not about how much you wait. I was wrong, but I learned that thing about the lives.

you guys dont get it the harder level give less letters because you dont pick up the letter. If you wait for the letter to dissapear it takes longer for the next.

The next letter comes always at the same time, no matter if you take a letter or not. Just try - if you take it, there's a long space before the next one

o never mind then i was kinda tired when i posted that.

This time I must agree with wert, I think that if you pick up a letter immediately it takes slightly less time to reappear.
