The items in the game appear following different rarity coefficients from 0 to 6.
Coeff. 0 items that are not randomly dropped at a level. They appear under certain conditions (for example you have hidden on the exact same place every game, you get most of the keys and all the gamepads at the same place at the same level, you get a or a when you kill an enemy and so on).
Coeff. 6 are the rarest items, coeff. 1 the most common. In numbers it is approximately:
coeff. 1: 52.323% - about 1 in 2 items
coeff. 2: 34.085% - about 1 in 3 items
coeff. 3: 11.999% - about 1 in 8 items
coeff. 4: 01.542% - about 1 in 65 items
coeff. 5: 0.1400% - about 1 in 700 items
coeff. 6: 0.0045% - about 1 in 22,000 items
These numbers are only chances, not predictions!

Read this before asking <- This is an important thread! Not exactly "couldn't find an answer"

I have 2 questions that I have not been able to find the answer to elswhere. Sorry if they are redundant.

1) While the game is loading, on the way to hammerfest, different quests pop up, blades of darkness and lost souls, for example. If the game loads quickly you will not be able to read these. As of late the game has been loading slowly so I have noticed them. Just curious what these may mean.

2) I understand the coef factors for different items, but i am curious what other factors may be in play. For example: I have 1 big paycheck. I played for a month straight and never saw one. Then in one day I played two games and came up with 4, 2 in each game. I haven't seen one since which was about a month ago. The same has been true with many other items. Why are some items so abundant and then so rare again?

the answer to your second question is simple: random distributions.. i also had 2 evil liquors (c5) earlier than even only 1 (c4) and it took me very long to get 3 of them to complete the quest. now in the last week i found 6 of them which is why i unblocked it.. about the same story for so even if you find 9 of one item in a day, it might take you 2 months to finally unblock it, that's just the way it works (or can work) with random chances. good luck with it

1) It is the background music's titles. There has been a thread collecting the names, which are always a random combination of certain name elements. So it does not mean anything.

2) It is just usual deviation. With simple statistics, you could calculate it and you would find out that the games you have played are well within that which a statistican would expect to happen. The longer you play, the weirder things will happen to you

End of june... we'll see. At the moment I am not playing much. Did this great point run yesterday, so I guess I will focus on Hell again in my next games, but it is possible that I don't play for the rest of the week or even longer.

@30191 yeah i saw that, congrats! i had the same the lost 2 months or something, nearly didn't play until last week. now i can play again and want to unblock the pp and finally get octopus in ink

I doubt anything can be done about it, but just asking for the sake of it - when I got into the HoF (April 2007 ) I accidentally pressed enter too soon, or clicked something, I can't remember, which resulted in nothing being entered in my HoF message, and the input box disappearing.
I know it's been a while, but I'm really fed up of those dashed lines now.
I don't think a forum mod can change it, so if one of you could ask ayame that'd be cool, thanks
