yep, you have to get in mirror mode there you don't have to actually beat the PD though, since you will get it in the first level of it without having to beat any enemies..

But he'll need to go through all the PD to get out of it.

or he can die and still have the key, or press ctrl + shift + k. it's more likely that he'll go through the pd another 10 times, but not necessarily true

How do I open the portal on level 43...?

You know the little gap under the platform with the white bomb ray? Jump there and a portal will appear.

Darn! That was the last place I was going to look, but the fireball came.

I have a few questions I couldn't answer by searching

1) Combo-killing gives you more letters in the next level, but I've noticed that if the last kill is a single enemy then I generally only get one letter in the next level. Is this right?

2) Generally, in the games where I get really good items, they often come in pairs. Anyone else notice this?

3) For the big gem combos... Enemies that are killed get counted right then, and the ones that are frozen count when they hit the bottom of the screen, correct?

If there's a thread with this kind of stuff explained, I would love a link
