OK, so the two player game looks fun... but how does it work? do you both share lives or is it a number of lives per person? has anyone tried it? does it actually work well?
Each character gets a set number of lives. If one person loses all their lives, it's game over no matter how many lives the other has left.
By getting to level 49 and picking up the shared heart twice, you can unlock life sharing mode, which means that if one person loses all their lives, they take a life off the other instead of gettign game over, until both have 0 spare and someone dies.
It does work well, and although I don't have anyone to play with, if you get someone good I think it can make the game a lot easier with two people working together.
Only problem is when the fireball comes, there's actually 2 fireballs...so 2 lives are lost.
I remember it disappears when you die, not when you drop out of the screen. Maybe the other player was killed by a fruit? Also you can get a ps/2 keyboard + a USB keyboard and 2 players can play on 2 keyboards without the problem with the many buttons. It's great to play this way a 1v1 player games like Mortal Kombat, GGX and others.
Well after typing that I thought I might as well do it now, as it only takes a few seconds.
I was right with what I said before: hen one character dies, the fireball keeps coming for the other character until the dead one falls to the bottom of the screen.
Come to think of it - if you die from the other player's fireball then they will both disappear. The first one, because Igor is dead, the second one - because Igor hit it . So we're all right
