useful techniques

Pyramid level: 1 133

without going through the whole forum, I wondered whether everybody was aware of techniques like Kaha's 'cache-ennemi' or shooting bombs up diagonally, etc; as these are good for any player.

Kaha's technique (kahakatashi is a top player in france) is very useful for determining which enemy to kill first to get a big crystal, and we all use it all the time

When 2 fruits cross each other, the one who passes behind is the one you have to kill first. (It's obviously easiest when there's only 2 left, but it works with any number).

Shooting diagonally (needs constellations obviously): put down a bomb, then rapidly shoot it up,(so space, space+down) with some practice it'll go diagonally, works with all bombs except the green (with the helmet it works as well)

There must be other practical techniques or hints (for instance,it took me ages before realizing you can run over the little blocks rather than jump them, p.e. lvl 52)

Tempest, it's not just the last 2, it's all of them, it's just difficult to see when there's more than 2. At any time, the fruit that passes behind all of the others is the one to get first.
As you know the order to begin with, it just means you concentrate on the first ones, and check the last ones this way

Hmm I can try to offer other neat suggestions, but I don't know any other mechanical tricks in the game like the diagonal kicks and what not.

Mostly as a quick recap, players should know that there is a hidden platform on level 1 so you can sit and collect the crystals that fall when you take the well's secret left passage in level 0. Also there's a hidden extra life in level 84 by jumping along the top left of the screen (oh, one other thing about this, I found out that at least one enemy still needs to be alive in order to get it, funny eh?) For more info on these, check other threads in the board.

Only other little advice I can offer, and this would help players that haven't subscribed as well, is for levels 1-20ish, since clearly the levels are much easier than others in the game, I suggest that players kill all but one enemy in each level, and hold off on killing the last one until you get the "QUICK" notice. The reason I suggest this is that the 0 that show up during each level change all the time, and if you wait a while you'll see more of them. In the end you might end up with another extra life or two that might really make a difference later on in the game. Just a thought.

Good luck everyone! 1175

Thanks for the tip on level 84, I've wondered why I didn't always get the life.

Only that what's written in the thread (level 103+)

It's difficult finding out more, but try and slow your computer, everybody definitely agrees on that, I don't know why.
