Hey everyone! I thought a post like this would be fun. Let's see what people are guessing. I'll post the correct answer probably tomorrow or the next day, basically once everyone's gotten a chance to guess.

Here's how it works: Below are four scenarios that might happen in Hammerfest, and only one of them is FALSE. Please select the scenario you believe cannot or does not happen in the game, and post your answer as a reply to this thread. Good luck everyone!

Scenario:

A) Igor is trying to kill all the enemies in order, and so far is successful, just one left to defeat. He sets up a black bomb and waits for the bait to blow up. It works! But while Igor wasn't paying attention he fell onto spikes and died at the exact same time the last enemy died. Igor re-appears in the same level ready to go to next level and the big crystal never arrives after all. Bummer.

B) Igor has just entered the next level and before he can defeat any enemies, the powerup appears. Quickly, he grabs it and waits, and one by one the enemies burn to a crisp. When enemies die from this powerup they become instead of a crystal, and since Igor killed all the enemies using the powerup, a giant falls from the sky, worth 210,000 points!

C) Igor has already beaten the game once and recovered his carrot! Now when he adventures he likes to wear Tuber's cape. In one level Igor has finished killing all the enemies and is ready to go to the next level. For whatever reason, he is teetering on the edge of a platform when he suddenly kicks a bomb and moves forward just a little bit, going down below and entering the next level. When Igor lands in the next level, he is still making that kicking motion over and over again until he starts moving, for no apparent reason.

D) Igor is blazing away through the levels, when he comes across the powerup, which allow his bombs to leave nice little everywhere. Feeling good, he plays along without dying and then comes across a different mushroom powerup, a red one, and grabs it. Now his bombs only leave and not anymore, and definitely not both from each bomb, probably due to the limitations of the game's engine. Igor doesn't mind one way or another - it's not like those points add up anyway.

you got a bit of a dud Igor there haven't you, falling on spikes and teetering on edges.
Anyway, the only thing that's a real bug is scenario C, space bar being stuck or something, for an uninitiated mind like mine

A is a bummer, but crystal does appear, but mostly you're too late or in the wrong place.
B would be very good luck, but is possible (all enemies being at the same height, probably)
D, those few points just might get you to the pantheon.

Only A ever happened to me

All those have happened to me except B

well you did say cannot or don't happen, if there's a level with all enemies at the same height, and they all get hit at the same time, the crystal should appear, it is just so very unlikely it will happen;
But I did expect your bug being what happened to you, Igor kicking on into the next level, but it's the first time i've heard of it

A) really depends on if Igor dies before or after the last enemy reaches the bottom of the screen. If you die after the big crystal comes, then it goes away. Otherwise, it still comes down.

B) is possible, although VERY lucky. I'd have to calculate whether it's possible for the 210k points, but getting the big crystal that way is possible.

C) AFAIK, there's only one time this happens, and that's if you kick a bomb while changing bomb types (or go through the bomb-change field in general). Try it out, but be sure to start kicking before going through the field.

D) is exactly how it works. It also works the other way around, so be careful if you have a rarer mushroom and get .

So if I WERE to choose one, it would be C.
After calculating it out, the only possible big crystal value close to that is 202500, which means it would NOT be possible, so B would be false.

Whoa! Sorry it took so long for me to answer the trivia. Anyway now for the solution.

The actual FALSE answer is in fact B. Zoyyyy was correct in mentioning that there is no such thing (as of yet, I suppose) as a large diamond of the Defained Treasure variety. To be honest, I didn't mean for that to be a trick question but there you have it.

Scenario A has happened to me a few times, mainly from those damned strawberries with their ability to pretty much read my mind and strike where I'm going to be. Ugh. Anyway yes it can happen.

Scenario C can also happen. For some reason the sprites for Igor in a cape are very strange. Position yourself just right while kicking and you'll be dancing until you move again, even if that means you're in the next level.

Scenario D is a simple answer. I believe it to be just a limitation on the programming of the game. Other than as quest items, I basically ignore the mushrooms, mainly because I don't want to carelessly throw myself in harm's way just to get the tiny mushrooms from earlier bombs. And that does happen.

B haasn't happened to me, at least not like that. Instead I got the on one of the higher levels when there were way too many guys to fight, then the next thing I know came floating down or was it can't rememeber. But I know I got lots of points out of that one.
