I just searched in a dictionary because I needed the translations for "pointed" and "pointy" - they both mean the same thing (the upper end of is pointed/pointy).
But my first guess was that "pointy" meant exactly this, but "pointed" meant "it has points" (like ). Is this guess what you wanted to say?

If so, I guess : It is edible, it can grow, the other mushrooms are larger, and it is... well... not directly your enemy

You're on the right track, but you have the pointed pointy thing the other way around. That's all I'ma say for now. :3
