Parallel Dimension Video Guide

Ashvio asked me to make a video showing certain parallel dimensions to help him, when I realized that while several small videos existed of several parallel dimensions, there wasn't a large "Let's Play"-type video showing them all.

Thus, over several games, I recorded 30 of the 33 known parallel dimensions. The 3 that I didn't get are too hard for me to beat, namely the Raspberry Crypt, True Tomb of Tuber, and the Adviser's Hideout.

I then sped the videos up to 4X speed and added commentary, while also creating a alternate version that has background music instead of commentary.

Videos

Part 1 (PD0-15.12) 117
Commentary
Music

Part 2 (PD16-51) 1190
Commentary
Music

Part 3 (PD54) 1238
Commentary/Music

Part 4 (PD55-97) 1219
Commenatry
Music

Thanks to:

Ashvio for sparking the idea.
Flameboy/BlazingSol for tips and some music.

Do you want me to send my videos and you do what you want to do with them? ;). I don't have the time to create such movies, while I wanted to made not just one of them.

1) Somehow I knew this was what the project would consist of ... :P

2) What happened to all the replies ? :(

3) You should consider making a slower version of each (maybe 2x or 3x), just in case people can't tell what you're doing. It'd also be nice if viewers could add annotations if they have alternative (and presumably better) ways of accomplishing something. Haven't had a chance to watch them yet, but kudos to you for going to all this work. :)

@Neko: as far as I heard, he said he wanted this to look like normal mode :) Correct if I'm wrong, daw.114

Yah, I forgot to flip PD74 in my editing program -_-'

And the OP messed up when I tried to edit it, then electric locked it before I could fix it :dontcare:

Meh :innocent:

Also, electric, I see that you have your videos as responses to each other. :innocent: When I click on the "Post a Video response" button on my video, it says that I can't! :noon: How do you do that? :o

Hehe. Your voice sounds almost identical to that of one of my friends who also plays HF ... And he's also a sophomore. It's a little scary, actually. You two would probably get along pretty well. ;)

Constructive criticism follows ...

At least from what I have seen, you used Cadomax numbering (starting from 1), rather than the in-game numbering (starting from 0). This might trip some people up ... but I guess it's sort of hard to change, now that you've already finalized the videos. =\

Also, what you call PD's 1 and 2 are actually PD's 2 and 3, respectively. You might want to add an annotation to clarify that.

Lastly, people might rage at you for grabbing 108 's and such, because we don't get to see your techniques on those levels. But nonetheless, this is still a helpful tool on which I'm sure you've done a lot of work. Grazie :)

Hey dAwjbNS,

this is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Now I have a clue how to get through some of the levels I always died.

Great work!
