I got my first Nightmare Key on December 12th, along with my 30th . I haven't played in Nightmare mode since then. Last night, I decided to try it again (to start unblocking it) ... and I beat it on my first try (not to mention, I didn't lose any lives in the Tuber battle). I feel quite good about this.

Now for the discovery. If you have a spare life remaining after you beat Tuber, you can see a neat little trick. Get all the items on 103, then wait for the fireball to arrive, then get in the elevator. You will see ...

+ Bombinos = no giant crystal. It's the same way on every level. That's just the way MT decided to program it, I suppose. They probably thought that'd be making it too easy.
