Well... that movie is sooooo old. There are a lot of things I didn't know back then.

When playing NM, you are most certain to lose a life because of the fireball on 95. If you have a life to spare - wait at the top for all bombinos to come and blow them, afterwards deal with the rest. But this way if you get a nice skip-the-level item you may have only one chance to get it.

Here is my way. Land on the left side of the level (supposing ur not playing mirror mode) between the spikes. It is kind of a safe spot, because stomps cannot push you into the spikes.

Then proceed killing the pineaple on the right sida in the "open box". After that you can stay there and drop bombs to the next pineapple which is jumping below you from ledge to ledge.

Third, use diagonal bomb kick to throw bombs to the right side open-box pineapple. After killing it, you can kill the last pineapple from where ever you wish.

And yes, that level sometimes has something against you and with a bad luck e.g. I have lost 5 lives straight.

No, but there are these two videos showing the path down to the Red Bomb.

Diagonal bomb kick? I've never been able to pull that off, even once. Not even on level 0 or 2 when I have lots of time to practice.

Picture of level 54.12.1G.1 doesn't seem to exist, but some other levels do so just try changing the URL of the picture.

I've done the diagonal bomb kick lots, like on 3.0 when there's nothing. I probably have a video of it. I haven't actually gotten around to actually using it for anything. o_o Any time it would be useful I don't think of doing it or can't pull it off.

It's just a matter of training. When I first heard of it, I thought it was nearly impossible to perform. Now I get it most of the time and it is really useful. A very important fact is that the kick is one square higher than the usual upkick, which can be a great advantage.

So... How do we do it? Is it really just Down-Left (or Down-Right)? Or is there an extra key to push? And what about timing (how long to wait between the key presses)?
