The green turtle shell

I've gotten it 4 times so far. There's no head or feet or tail: it's just a green shell with a white underside. When you collect it, a jackhammer outline appears above snowman's head. Doesn't keep enemies from killing you, but it seems like it must be some sort of protection. Feedback?

In one of the other threads, there was a link to this page. I think the item you mean is this one... The page above calls it "Mode Mario"... Maybe you have to jump on the fruits to kill them? I've never seen it myself

Nope. Unless I did it wrong. I tried jumping on a furious fruit and died like I always do: in shame and a puddle of my own liquid.

i've never seen that item... but just guessing from what it is, does your snow bomb turn into a turtle shell? if so i'd try kicking it to see if it kills enemies in its path like kicked turtle shells do in mario bros...

This french site says about the item: "Permet de glacer les ennemis en sautant dessus"
so it means you can freeze the enemies by jumping on them... don't know why it didn't work for you :/

I believe it didn't work for me because of gross incompetence. I tried it a second time when I could come directly from above and it worked. Thanks for the top.

That's quite likely. Those little buggers come out of NOWHERE. I'd been thinking of them as tomatoes, though. Are they apples?
