A parade of idiotic deaths. It started with jumping into a lemon projectile on level 37, after I had killed all the fruits and was just picking up items. Other dumb deaths included jumping into the void on level 87 after the last fruit had been hit by a black bomb but before it fell off the screen, jumping into a spike on level 91 after all three fruits had been killed and I was just exiting the level. Also had horrendous luck on level 86 when a sunflower appeared. Dislodged the pear guarding it; but unfortunately, it slammed into a watermelon a split second before the sunflower took effect. On level 85, the pear decided to camp right under the teleporter with the two litchis dancing around the area, forcing me to lose a life. Lost another life when the pear above dropped a perfect bomb when I was still on that bottom area. Ever seen that before?

When the bottom pear at level 85 camps there, you can jump into the teleporter and throw a bomb while you are in it. You will then stand in the other teleporter. Don't move now, only press space/ctrl over and over until everything under you is frozen or stunned. If you already got the blue bombs, it is even better

@30191: Good idea, but it does require very specific timing, and if you end up failing, you might not be prepared to find a clear landing spot. I think it's safest to wait until the path is clear, then just drop through normally and spam white until the pear dies. But if you've practiced enough, your way is great.

Also: If you have a speed boost (i.e. or Nightmare), you can jump toward the teleporter, launch a bomb through it, then turn around and get back onto your starting platform (no second bomb needed). It's fairly simple once you try it a few times ... I use it every time, and I've never fallen into those spikes in N-Mode (except one time when I accidentally did what you suggested and didn't realize it ).

Is there a record for the least CRISTAL's ? In this game, I played approximately 80 levels, and I got one, count 'em, one CRISTAL. That was with two 's. What. The. .

It would have been two, but rather than grabbing the "L" which was literally right next to me (on level 35), I decided to grab the and cash in a few diamonds first. I failed to remember that the next letter would not necessarily be another "L." In fact, my big bang on the previous level was 4. Epic. Fail.

Also, on level 76, my first 13 bombs in a row (that I kicked into the portal) all went into the right side. I sat there just pressing the space bar over and over again and blowing up nothingness, until finally the 14th bomb landed in the left side and killed them.

Only made it to 82 today, my all time worst NM mode performance. In light of this, I got my 8th Bouquet, 11th , and 3 or 4 chocolates.

Maybe I should feel thankful for having gotten my second Tuber's bag, and for my second highest score ever. But I don't feel it... The bag appeared on level 85, at which point a death was inevitable within a few levels.

Sure enough, died twice on level 88 because the strawberry on the right survived my initial bomb by landing on the bottom-left ledge. I then had to sacrifice one life for each strawberry. Because of the angle, it is near impossible to dodge the balls. Is there anything that can be done when the strawberry lands on the bottom-right?

Died twice on level 91 because I missed the jump into the cage, despite having a bubble because of the first death.

Unbelievable death on level 95. I thought Igor was about 1/3 of the screen width away from the exploding bombino; but somehow he died anyway.

Also a few deaths from bad judgment (pursuing points after all enemies were dead but fireball had appeared).

Is there anything that can be done when the strawberry lands on the bottom-right?

Drop down on the left side, walk as far as you can and jump over his ball (preferably stay on the same level as him until he throws it). Climb up and stand on one of the two blocks on the bottom-right, inside the box. Wait for him to throw again, then fall down onto one of the bottom blocks and you should be able to nail him from there.
