Also got a on 54.8, a on 54.12.1G.0, and a on 54.12.1G.1.

Bad: Died left and right thanks to constant interruptions, missed 's on 54.6 and 54.12.1G.2, and game overed on 54.12.1G.2 thanks to that razorbox.

Shockingly bad luck, especially with the last few deaths. Enemies did absolutely everything right, thawing repeatedly happened at the worst possible time, not a split second too soon or too late. Too bad, it was a very good score for so early in the game.

On that game, I entered level 30 on my last life, and GO'd to the fireball, before I could advance to level 31.

John, have you heard of PD 16?

Also, level 20 is a good place to go for a (small) orange crystal. Wait until the bottom six fruits are all on the bottom ledges, then drop a bomb into the left or right corner just as a fruit is passing through. With a little luck, the fruit will glide all the way across the screen, killing all 6 fruits and giving you 500+2000+4500+8000+12500+18000=45,500 points.

John, have you heard of PD 16?
Yes. Each time I went into PD 16, I lost 1-2 lives to the fireball. So, I stopped going into PD 16 when I completed the quest.

I see... You're still at the stage in the game where you're just trying to get as deep into the well as possible. More levels means more points items, which means more quest progress.

In that case, I wouldn't recommend focusing so much on killing enemies in order (like you tried unsuccessfully on level 13). Also keep in mind that extra lives occur at 100K, 500K and 1M points.

And finally, once all the enemies are dead, getting out of the level is more important than getting point items (especially low point items, like blue crystals).
