URGH - went into Howling Metal with 8 lives, and lost most of them on, of all levels, level .5, with the teleporter and the pears. Why, you ask? because I got an umbrella to skip a few levels and got Over-confidend. REALLY stupid, should have probably pulled another pass the way I was playing. I can ALMOST get to HM with plus lives... I'm doing a lot better at the standard hell levels. 1-5 are almost no lives lost, max 2 on level 6, I usually don't die on 7 but sometimes I can't read the levels right, and 9-11 are a breeze. The only one that still gives me trouble is 8, and I keep thinking I've got a good plan (I'll maybe die once without an item), and then next time I come through I die like 4 or 5 times. nevertheless. As soon as I unlock the pass, it's time for the Crypt.

Game was lagging for no reason. Nothing was running except the window with Hammerfest and internet was perfect (which rarely is), yet it kept lagging. Because of this, died on the early 90s.

And still no Rusty Key or 11th ...

my quests-in-progress-page will look the same every day untill i get the n64 pad, after that it won't ever show a quest in progress anymore

I'm really starting to get sick of this. If it's not game over at 54.8, it's game over at 54.11, and if it's not game over at 54.11, it's game over at 54.12.0. I'm beside myself with failure. I have no idea how I'm ever going to get any better at hell.

don't worry neko, my beginning was exactly the same.. i entered with a couple of + lifes and game over at .6, .8, .7, .9 due to a lot of luck etc. eventually you will get there one tip i can give you is to keep your score under 100k untill inside pd51.. then make sure you go into hell with about 400k, which will make you earn 2 more lifes inside hell.. this gives you a couple advantages.. in the beginning of the game you will have less lifes, meaning fireball comes later which causes you to die less often and it enables you to get more letters ---> more lifes.. this often causes you to enter hell with the same amount of lifes as you would usually have, but with a higher life-gain inside

@Mutoh: try to restart your browser (close all the tabs first, if you can) and then start a game. I never had lags in the clean browser (I actually have separate browser for flash games)

no, really. Almost all of my hell runs end in 54.8-9. I was further not more than ~10 times (of ~70 runs). But, Howling Metal is easy, so I was 4-5 times in 54.12.1.8, and even got the PP when I skipped that level once. So, cheer up, you'll definitely get it
